The South Cave Show, established in 1884, is an event whereby members of the local community come together in friendly competition for their home-grown or baked produce to be judged.
Held in the South Cave Sports Hall, anyone is able to enter, provided they arrive before 10:15am. The winners from each category are awarded for their efforts with trophies.
The categories include flowers, vegetables, fruit, cookery, handicraft and photography.
The show is an all-round event for everyone. For people who don’t enter the competition, fun activities are provided, including a raffle.
It’s a great day for families with an action-packed programme for kids including: making animals from a cone, edible necklaces, decorating your own gingerbread man, treasure maps and much more!
This event really helps to strengthen the relationships within the local community and we’re proud to support such a fantastic tradition. We hope this event is celebrated for years to come.
‘On behalf of South Cave Show Committee, I would like to thank you for your generous sponsorship of our village show. Your support and that of our other sponsors will ensure the continuation of this important local event.’ The South Cave Show Committee.
