Construction

Throughout the construction process the site team adhere to strict quality control measures. Richard Bettison (Senior Site Manager) ensures all materials, construction professionals and modern building methods are researched and utilised to his own high standards. The most excellent construction professionals are selected from local people, who have a commitment to their industry and can produce the finest quality work demanded by Risby Homes.

Richard pays acute attention to detail and for the last three years has been an NHBC (Nation House-Building Council) pride in the Job Award winner for his work on our Keldgate Bar development. In 2009 Richard also won the north east of England regional award putting him in the top 1% in the country.

Now in its 30th year, NHBC's Pride in the Job is the only national competition to focus on the contribution the site manager makes in producing high quality new homes. Over 18,000 site managers are entered into the awards and each are assessed across 38 aspects of site management, including technical knowledge, consistency in the build process and leadership and organisational skills.

NHBC Buildmark Cover

During all stages of the construction process an NHBC inspector will ensure tight quality standards are maintained. Organised and random "frequency" visits are made to check that these standards never slip.

This allows each new home built by Risby Homes to have the prestigious "NHBC Buildmark Cover", ensuring not only that the home is constructed to the highest standards, but that new home owner has the piece of mind of a further 10 years of commitment by Risby Homes and the NHBC in the form of a comprehensive warranty.

National Recognition

Risby Homes is very proud of the national recognition it has received, not only from the NHBC, but from the HRH Prince of Wales “The Patron’s Award” for its work with Beverley Consolidated Charities on their Keldgate Bar Alms Houses, recognising the high standards achieved in creating attractive almshouses that sit well in their environment and provide "homes for life" for their elderly residents.
